Woodworm is often caused by the 2 most common beetles, Deathwatch beetle (Xestobium rufovillosum) and Common furniture beetle (Anobium punctatum)
If left untreated can cause the structural integrity of the wood to deteriorate.
Generally we say the easiest thing to look for is small pin size holes and yellow dust.
